Zetes was a figure in Greek mythology who was the son of Boreas, the god of the north wind. Along with his brother Calais, they were known as the Boreads and were famous for their swift flight and their ability to chase away the Harpies. Possibly derived from Ancient Greek ζητέω (zeteo) "to seek, look forc inquire; to strive for, desire, wish". In Greek myth, Zetes and his twin brother Calais were sons of Boreas, the god of the north wind, and members of the Argonauts. Zetes is a rare name that is most often used in literature or art.
