Maleagant
Maleagant Name meanings & History
Possibly from the Old Welsh name Mael Gawain, meaning "prince Gawain". Meaning unknown. In Arthurian mythology Maleagant is the son of King Bagdemagus or Baeddan (the two characters may be one and the same). He abducts Queen Guinevere and imprisons her in his stronghold of Glastonbury until Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table rescue her. In later legends his role is largely taken over by Mordred. Maleagant is not a name commonly used in modern times. It is likely to be considered an unusual and uncommon name choice.
