Betsinda
Betsinda Name meanings & History
Apparently a pseudo-Italian elaboration of Betsy based on similar-sounding names such as Belinda and Lucinda (perhaps Betsaida; see Bethsaida). It was used by William Makepeace Thackeray in his satirical novel 'The Rose and the Ring' (1854), where it belongs to a little chambermaid. The name Betsinda is not commonly used and may be considered outdated or uncommon.
