Adiante Name meanings & History
Adiante is derived from the Greek word "adiantos" which means "unwounded" or "unconquered". Possibly derived from Greek ἀδίαντον (adianton) meaning "maidenhair" (a plant, species Adiantum capillus-veneris) or ἀδίαντος (adiantos) meaning "unwetted, not bathed in sweat", from the negative prefix ἀ (a) and the verb διαίνω (diaino) "to wet, to moisten". In Greek mythology Adiante was one of the 50 daughters of Danaus (the Danaids). Adiante is mostly used as a masculine given name.
