The 7th-century Frankish saint Acharius, bishop of Noyon-Tournai, is known as Acario in Italian and Spanish. This was used by Gigio Artemio Giancarli for a character in his play La Zingana (1545). It was also used by Lope de Rueda for one of the main characters in his play Medora (1567). Acario is primarily used as a first name for boys, but could be used for girls as well.
